3 to 27 ton RTUs with Vane Axial Fans - NATE, FAD, & Elite hrs - Melrose Park, IL
with Neil Stoeger
Times are changing and the current code requirements for high IEERs are driving the market to use Staged Air Volume (SAV) in place of the traditional constant volume systems.
Smaller units using vane axial fans with ECM motors are standard now, so we will cover this type of RTU from Carrier (EcoBlue), Bryant (Axion), and ICP (X-Vane). This exclusive technology was designed to improve performance and efficiency while decreasing maintenance and installation costs. This RTU includes the industry’s first belt-less direct-drive vane axial fan for rooftop units, a new control board and coil technology, permanently lubricated motor bearings, tool-less filter access doors, and more.
Technicians need to know how to properly install, setup, and service all of these units, as they are now the standard RTUs in the market.
Topics covered include installation, start-up, and troubleshooting. We will discuss standard RTUs, ECM controlled SAV RTUs, airflow setup, vane axial fans, humidimizer, and economizers.
We will focus on Bryant, Carrier, & ICP SAV equipment in the 3 thru 27 ton range.
This classes qualifies for 4 NATE hours for the technician plus 4 "FAD Distributor" or "Elite Distributor" hours for the dealer.

with Ryan Hoger
Note: There is no charge for dealers who wish to attend the Day 1 portion as a refresher. Contact rhoger@tecmungo.com for FREE REGISTRATION CODE. Make sure your HomeSeal machine is clean and operational BEFORE you bring it to class.
The training will be two days for new dealers. Day 1 will be at TEC and Day 2 will be on-site at a home. Each dealer should have their 2-man Aeroseal install crew attend both days. It is also suggested that your retail sales person (or whomever will be quoting Aeroseal systems) attend the morning portion of the 1st day at a minimum.
Day 1 Morning - Classroom training session
Day 1 Afternoon - Three dealers in the TEC lab each using their own HomeSeal machines simultaneously to seal the small duct systems that we have in the lab. The dealer needs to bring ALL of their Aeroseal equipment (machine, tablet, sealant, foam, air compressor, dryer, extension cords, EVERYTHING).
Day 2 All day - Single dealer doing a full seal at the residential home of their choice (preferably one of their own employees not a client). New dealers should already have been contacted about scheduling this date. If an existing dealer needs a field training refresher please contact the instructor to schedule.
